ParfectGolfGifts started with a frustrating Christmas morning. One of us watched our dad unwrap a box of overpriced logo balls and muster his most convincing "Oh, nice." He had three boxes already. He hated that brand. Nobody asked.

The thing is, it wasn't a bad gift. It was the right category — golf stuff for the golfer — but completely wrong for him. And it could have been so different with just a few more questions.

We're golfers. We've been playing for years — between us, across handicap ranges, with gear obsessions and opinions about what actually matters. And we kept noticing the same pattern: the people who love golfers had no way to buy well for them. The gift guides online were terrible. Generic. Padded. Written by people who clearly didn't play.

Why we built this

The problem with buying golf gifts is that golf is incredibly specific. There's a massive difference between what a beginner needs, what a 15-handicap weekend player wants, and what a scratch golfer is actually missing from their bag. Budget matters. Their personality matters. Whether they already have good gear matters.

We wanted to build the tool that would have saved that Christmas morning. Something a spouse, parent, kid, or friend could use in 60 seconds to actually get it right. No sign-up required. No upsell. Just real, honest recommendations based on who their golfer actually is.

How it works

The quiz takes about a minute. We ask the things that actually change a recommendation — skill level, playing frequency, what they already own, what they care about in the game, your budget. Then we surface 4–5 specific ideas that match. Not a list of 50 things with affiliate links and no context. A real shortlist with explanations for why each one fits.

Some of our picks do use affiliate links — we're transparent about that in our affiliate disclosure. But the recommendations come first. We only link to things we'd actually give.

Who we are

We're a small team of golfers and product people who've been in and around the golf industry for a while. We play, we argue about gear, we know the difference between a marketing claim and something that actually holds up on the course. That's what we bring to this.
